Growth marketing

Product-led growth consulting in Dubai, and whether it suits your product at all

Product-led growth works when the product can demonstrate its own value before anyone talks to a salesperson. That is a real constraint, not a mindset. Most of the businesses asking us about PLG have a product that cannot do that yet, and the useful engagement starts by establishing which one you are.

  • conversions, German Medical Center
  • Activation measured, not assumed
  • Honest verdict on whether PLG fits

Partners & recognition

The stack we work in, the clients we keep

The platforms we build and run campaigns in, and the clients whose numbers we publish with their names on. HubSpot is the one partnership we claim; the rest are tools we use, not badges.

The problem

Product-led growth is a property of the product

It is usually discussed as a marketing strategy. It is closer to a product requirement: can somebody reach a moment of genuine value alone, quickly, without being sold to?

Where PLG attempts fail

  1. Time to value is too long

If it takes three weeks of configuration and a data migration before the product is useful, a free trial just produces a queue of abandoned accounts. That is a product problem, and marketing cannot solve it.

  2. The trial shows the wrong thing

Fourteen days of full access, no guidance, and the user never reaches the feature that would have convinced them. Activation is a specific moment and most trials do not know what theirs is.

  3. Signups counted as success

Signups are cheap and mean nothing on their own. Activation, second session and paid conversion are the numbers, and they are usually not instrumented.

  4. Sales removed instead of repositioned

PLG rarely means no sales. It means sales arrives later and better informed, talking to someone who has already used the product. Removing them entirely leaves your highest value accounts unserved.

What is included

What the engagement covers

Fit first. There is no point designing an onboarding flow for a product that cannot demonstrate itself.

A fit assessment, honestly

Time to value, whether the product can be understood alone, and whether the price point supports self-service. If the answer is no, we say so and recommend the sales-led route instead.

Defining activation

The specific action that correlates with retention — not signup, not login. Found in your own data by comparing what retained users did early against what churned users did not.

Onboarding design

The shortest honest path to that moment. Usually less product, not more: fewer choices, one clear first task, and setup deferred until after the value is felt.

Trial or freemium design

Which model, how long, and what is limited. Limiting the wrong dimension either gives away the product or prevents anyone reaching value, and both fail quietly.

Instrumentation

Product events that let you see activation, second session and conversion. Without these the whole programme is guesswork, and this is usually the first real piece of work.

The sales handoff

Which accounts warrant a human and when. Product-qualified leads, scored on usage rather than on form fills, routed to a person while intent is high.

Expansion

How accounts grow after conversion, and what the product should surface to make that obvious rather than requiring a conversation.

The honest alternative

Where PLG does not fit, what to do instead. Frequently a shorter sales cycle with better content rather than a self-service motion the product cannot support.

Technology

What we work with

Product analytics and CRM together, because PLG breaks in the join between them.

Product analytics

Seeing what users actually do.

  • Amplitude
  • Mixpanel
  • PostHog
  • Pendo
  • Heap
  • Event instrumentation

Onboarding and in-app

Guiding them to value.

  • Appcues
  • Userpilot
  • Pendo guides
  • In-app messaging
  • Empty-state design

CRM and PQLs

When a human should step in.

  • HubSpot
  • Salesforce
  • Product-qualified lead scoring
  • Usage-based routing

Experimentation

Improving activation.

  • Feature flags
  • Server-side testing
  • Cohort analysis
  • Funnel analytics

How we work

How the engagement runs

Fit, activation, onboarding, handoff. It can end at step one with a no.

Honestly, before anything else

Time to value, self-explanatory or not, price point against self-service economics. A clear verdict with reasoning, including the case where PLG is the wrong motion for you.

  • Time to value measured
  • Self-service viability assessed
  • Price point against support cost
  • Go or no-go with reasoning

In your data, not from a blog

Compare what retained users did in their first sessions against what churned users did not. That difference is your activation moment, and it is rarely the one people assumed.

  • Retained versus churned cohort comparison
  • Candidate activation events tested
  • Activation defined and instrumented
  • Baseline activation rate recorded

Toward that one moment

Usually by removing things. Fewer choices, one first task, configuration deferred until after value is felt. Measured on activation rate rather than on completion.

  • Shortest path to activation designed
  • Setup deferred where possible
  • Empty states doing real work
  • Measured on activation, not completion

Where humans still matter

Product-qualified leads scored on usage, routed to a person while intent is high. PLG rarely means no sales; it means sales arrives later and better informed.

  • PQL definition agreed with sales
  • Usage-based scoring live
  • Routing and alerting built
  • Expansion signals surfaced

Why us

Why we start with whether it fits

Because most of the businesses that ask about PLG should not do it yet.

We give a no when it is a no

If time to value is three weeks, or the product genuinely needs explaining, a self-service motion produces abandoned trials and a worse experience than a good sales process. That verdict comes before any build.

Activation found in your data

Not borrowed from a case study about a different product. Comparing retained against churned cohorts is the only way to find the moment that actually predicts retention for you.

Sales repositioned, not removed

HubSpot partner. Product-qualified leads scored on usage and routed while intent is high. Removing sales entirely leaves your highest-value accounts unserved.

Onboarding by subtraction

The fix is almost always fewer choices and deferred setup rather than another tooltip tour. Adding guidance to a confusing flow makes it a guided confusing flow.

Questions

Product-led growth, answered plainly

Starting with what it actually means, which is what Google shows people asking.

A go-to-market motion where the product itself does the convincing — someone signs up, reaches a moment of real value on their own, and converts before or without talking to sales. The defining requirement is that the product can demonstrate its value quickly and unaided. That is a product property, not a marketing decision, which is why it does not suit every business.

That the product roadmap owns acquisition metrics. Onboarding, empty states, in-app prompts and the trial design become growth levers rather than design details, and marketing and product share the activation number instead of arguing about the lead number.

Tools you can sign up for and use meaningfully in ten minutes, where the free tier is genuinely useful and the paid upgrade is triggered by hitting a real limit. The common thread is short time to value and a limit that arrives naturally rather than being imposed arbitrarily.

AED 25,000 to AED 90,000 covers most of what we are asked to build. The number moves on whether it is the fit assessment alone or the full activation and onboarding work, how much instrumentation has to be built first, and whether the sales handoff is in scope. Anything quoted before those are known is a guess. We scope first, then price, and the scope document is yours whether or not you proceed. These are market ranges rather than a fixed rate card — the proposal carries the real figure.

Often, but with a caveat: the larger the deal, the more a human is still required at the end. The common pattern is product-led acquisition with sales-assisted conversion — the user proves value themselves, and sales arrives to handle procurement, security review and the contract.

Long time to value, products that genuinely need explaining, complex implementation, or a price point where self-service cannot cover support cost. In those cases a shorter, better-informed sales cycle beats a self-service motion the product cannot support, and we will recommend that instead.

Activation rate first, then second session, then paid conversion and expansion. Signups are cheap and tell you almost nothing on their own. If activation is not instrumented, building that is the first piece of real work.

By comparing what users who retained did in their first sessions against what users who churned did not. It is a data exercise on your own product, and the answer is frequently not the moment the team assumed.

Trial where value is obvious quickly and the product is complete. Freemium where there is a genuinely useful free tier and a natural limit that arrives with real usage. Freemium costs more to support and is much harder to reverse, so it warrants the more careful decision.

Then you have saved a year and a rebuild, and we will tell you what to do instead. It is a reasonably common outcome of the fit assessment, which is why the assessment is a separate, smaller piece of work you can stop after.
