HubSpot & CRM

ABM against a list your sales team actually agrees with

Account-based marketing inverts the usual model: instead of generating leads and hoping some are from companies worth having, you name the companies first and work only on them. It is excellent for a small number of high-value accounts and expensive nonsense for anything else.

  • Named accounts agreed with sales
  • The committee not a single contact
  • Pipeline the measure, not leads

Partners & recognition

The stack we work in, the clients we keep

The platforms we build and run campaigns in, and the clients whose numbers we publish with their names on. HubSpot is the one partnership we claim; the rest are tools we use, not badges.

The problem

ABM as a label on ordinary marketing

A great deal of what is sold as ABM is a normal campaign with a company-name token in the subject line. Real ABM changes who you target, what you make, and how you measure — and if none of those changed, it is not ABM.

Where ABM programmes go wrong

  1. The account list came from marketing

A list built from firmographic filters that sales has never seen. If the sales team would not chase those companies, the entire programme is spending against accounts nobody intends to close.

  2. It targets one contact per account

A significant purchase involves several people, most of whom never fill in a form. Reaching only the named contact means the rest of the committee has never heard of you when they are asked their opinion.

  3. It is measured in leads

ABM produces few leads by design. Judged on lead volume it will always look like a failure, and that is the most common reason good programmes get cut in month four.

  4. The list is too long

Eight hundred target accounts is not ABM, it is segmentation. Real account-based work means genuinely different treatment per account or per small cluster, which caps how many you can run.

What is included

What ABM covers here

Account selection, committee mapping, coordinated treatment, and measurement that fits the model.

Account selection with sales

Built in a workshop with the people who close, then filtered for realistic fit and capacity. A list nobody in sales endorses is the single most common failure point.

Buying committee mapping

Who influences a purchase at each account: the signer, the user, the technical gatekeeper, procurement. Each needs different material.

Account research

What each target is actually dealing with — hiring signals, funding, leadership changes, public tenders, technology in use. Relevance is the entire mechanism of ABM.

Coordinated outreach

Paid, content, email and sales activity aimed at the same accounts at the same time, so a prospect sees several coherent touches rather than unrelated ones.

Personalised content

At the tier the account justifies. One-to-one for the largest, one-to-few for a cluster in the same sector, one-to-many for the rest. Treating all accounts as tier one is how budgets disappear.

LinkedIn account targeting

The main paid channel for this, since it can target the named companies directly. Detailed on our LinkedIn page.

Sales and marketing coordination

Shared account plans and a shared view of who has touched what. Without it the same person gets an email from marketing and a call from sales on the same morning.

Account engagement measurement

How many people at each account are engaging, and how that changes, plus influenced pipeline. Lead count is not the measure.

Technology

What we run ABM with

CRM at the centre, since ABM is fundamentally an account-data problem.

CRM

Where accounts live.

  • HubSpot ABM tools
  • Salesforce
  • Target account lists
  • Account scoring and tiers

Reach

Against named companies.

  • LinkedIn Matched Audiences
  • Paid social by company list
  • Programmatic account targeting
  • Direct outreach coordination

Research

Because relevance is the mechanism.

  • Firmographic and technographic data
  • Hiring and funding signals
  • Tender and news monitoring
  • Competitor incumbency mapping

Measurement

Fitted to the model.

  • Account engagement scoring
  • Influenced pipeline
  • Committee coverage tracking
  • Closed-loop CRM reporting

How we work

How an ABM programme runs

The list first, and the list is a sales decision.

With sales, and keep it short

The accounts worth genuinely differentiated effort, agreed in a workshop. Short enough that each one can be treated differently, which for most companies means tens rather than hundreds.

  • List built with sales, not for them
  • Sized to what can genuinely be personalised
  • Tiered by value and winnability
  • Existing customers and dead accounts excluded

And research each account

Who is involved, and what is actually happening at that company. Relevance is what makes ABM work, and it comes from research rather than from a template.

  • Committee roles mapped per account
  • Research per account or per cluster
  • Incumbent suppliers identified
  • Entry points identified with sales

Same accounts, same time

Paid, content and sales activity aimed at the same accounts together, tiered so effort matches value. Shared visibility so nobody double-touches.

  • Paid and outreach synchronised
  • Tiered personalisation, not uniform
  • Shared account plan visible to both teams
  • Touch history in one place

Not leads

How many people per account are engaging and how that trends, plus influenced pipeline over the real sales cycle. Reported that way from month one so nobody expects lead volume.

  • Account engagement tracked over time
  • Committee coverage per account
  • Influenced pipeline reported
  • Lead count explicitly not the measure

Why us

Why this ABM is actually account-based

Three things that distinguish it from a campaign with a company name in it.

The list is short and sales owns it

Short enough that each account genuinely gets different treatment. Eight hundred accounts is segmentation with a different name on it.

We target the committee, not a contact

The people who shape the decision rarely fill in forms. Reaching only your named contact leaves the rest of the room having never heard of you.

Measured in account engagement and pipeline

Set up that way from month one, because ABM judged on lead volume always looks like a failure and gets cut before the cycle completes.

We will tell you ABM is wrong for you

It suits a small number of high-value accounts with long cycles. If your average deal is small or your volume is high, ordinary demand generation will beat it comfortably.

Questions

Account-based marketing, answered plainly

Including whether you should be doing it.

AED 15,000 to AED 60,000 per month covers most of what we are asked to build. The number moves on how many accounts and at what tier of personalisation, whether content production is included, and whether CRM closed-loop reporting needs building. Media spend is separate. Anything quoted before those are known is a guess. We scope first, then price, and the scope document is yours whether or not you proceed. These are market ranges rather than a fixed rate card — the proposal carries the real figure.

Choosing the specific companies you want as customers, then aiming marketing and sales at those companies rather than generating leads broadly and sorting them afterwards. The account is the unit of everything: targeting, content and measurement.

Direction. Ordinary marketing casts wide and filters down to good-fit buyers. ABM starts with the named companies and works outwards to the people inside them. That changes who you target, what you make, and what counts as success — if none of those three changed, what you have is not ABM.

It works when you have a small number of high-value accounts, a long sales cycle and a buying committee. It works badly when deals are small, volume is high, or your addressable market is large and undifferentiated. For a lot of Dubai businesses ordinary demand generation is the better spend and we will say so.

Fewer than you want. For genuine one-to-one treatment, tens. For a tiered programme with clusters, a few hundred at the outer tier. If the list is long enough that every account gets the same treatment, you have built segmentation and called it ABM.

LinkedIn is a channel; ABM is the strategy that might use it. Most ABM programmes lean heavily on LinkedIn because it can target named companies directly, but ABM also covers account selection, committee mapping, content tiering and sales coordination. Many clients start with the LinkedIn page and end up here.

Account engagement — how many people at each target account are interacting and whether that is growing — plus committee coverage and influenced pipeline. Lead count is deliberately not a measure, and agreeing that before starting prevents the argument in month four.

It follows your sales cycle, so six to twelve months for pipeline impact in most Dubai B2B. Earlier signals appear sooner: target accounts engaging, more people per account involved, sales reporting warmer first conversations.

A workshop with sales. The companies they want, the ones already in play, the ones to exclude. Then filtered for realistic fit. A list built by marketing alone from firmographic filters is the most reliable way to waste an ABM budget.

Tier it. One-to-one for the handful of accounts that justify genuinely bespoke work, one-to-few for clusters in the same sector with the same problem, one-to-many for the rest. Attempting one-to-one across a large list is how ABM programmes run out of budget in month three.

Yes, and we need to. ABM fails when marketing runs it alone. The minimum is a shared account list and shared visibility of who has touched which account.

No questions match — try another search.

Next step

Would your sales team recognise your target account list?

If marketing built it alone, that is usually the finding. Send it over and we will tell you how much of it is genuinely reachable.
