Key details

We built richmind.com from Richmind's five page designs, first as a static site for review, then in WordPress with a plugin of our own. The site presents Oystra, Richmind's development on Al Marjan Island, and each main page ends with a form that saves every registration as a lead.

Overview

Richmind (Richmind Development FZ-LLC) is a real estate developer based in Jumeirah, Dubai. Its development Oystra is on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, with architecture by Zaha Hadid Architects. Alongside Oystra, its website sets out the company's design philosophy, carries its events and news, and signs up brokers as channel partners.

This page covers what Richmind needed, what we built and how the site works today.

The challenge

It needed five page designs built as drawn, working on every screen, in place of its old site.

  • Built as drawn

Richmind supplied designs for five pages, with its own copy and photographs. The site had to match them in text, images and layout.

  • Desktop designs only

The designs were drawn for a desktop screen, so every page needed a layout of its own for tablets and phones.

  • An old site to replace

richmind.com already ran an older WordPress site. Its address and old page links had to carry over, and so did its broker form, which sent registrations to Richmind's Odoo.

  • Artwork in place of stories

The Media Hub design showed its events and news as fixed artwork and sample text. The site needed real stories, each with a page of its own.

  • Pages without a design

Brokers needed a registration page and visitors a contact page, and neither had a design.

What we did

  • Built to Richmind's designs

We built the five pages to Richmind's designs, first as a static site for review and then in WordPress, checking each section against its design. Tablets and phones got layouts of their own.

  • WordPress and our own plugin

The site runs on WordPress and Elementor. Our Richmind Site plugin carries the styles, the header, the Oystra gallery and the forms, and the pages stay editable in Elementor.

  • A lead form on every main page

A Register your interest band closes each main page, and our plugin saves every entry as a lead in WordPress.

  • A media hub that runs on posts

Events and news are WordPress posts. Each story opens on its own page, with its own search title and description and more stories below it.

  • Broker registration, sent to Odoo

Brokers sign up as channel partners in four steps, each checked before the next opens, and the form sends every registration to Richmind's Odoo.

  • Search set up, old links kept

Yoast SEO writes the titles, descriptions and sitemaps. Addresses from the old site that would now fail redirect to their new pages.

  • Motion with an off switch

GSAP and Lenis run the motion: headings rise letter by letter and each element enters in reading order. Visitors who switch on reduced motion get the site at rest.

  • WordPress CMS
  • Elementor Page design
  • Xpro Theme Builder Header, footer and 404 templates
  • Richmind Site (our plugin) Design, widgets, forms and motion
  • GSAP Motion
  • Lenis Smooth scrolling
  • Yoast SEO Titles, descriptions and sitemaps
  • Odoo Receives broker registrations

What Richmind has now

  • A site built to its own page designs, with layouts for tablets and phones.
  • A page for Oystra, from its architects and amenities to a map of Al Marjan Island.
  • A Register your interest form on every main page, with each entry saved as a lead.
  • A Media Hub run from WordPress posts, with a page for every story.
  • A broker registration page that sends each sign-up to Richmind's Odoo.

Why it worked

It works because the site is built around Richmind's own designs

Richmind arrived with its designs, copy and photographs. We built them as drawn, gave them layouts for every screen and connected every form.

The design as drawn

Each section was checked against the design, first in the static build and then in WordPress at desktop, tablet and phone widths.

Editable in Elementor

Pages are built mostly from Elementor's own widgets, so the words and photographs can be changed in the editor.

Every form lands somewhere

Registrations of interest are saved as leads in WordPress, and broker sign-ups go to Richmind's Odoo.

Motion that steps aside

Headings and photographs enter as the page scrolls, and visitors who prefer reduced motion see the site at rest.
