Web design & development

Web design company in Dubai for sites your team can run

We do web design in Dubai and across the UAE for fast sites with a job to do: show up on Google, then turn visits into enquiries. Web development then follows who'll run your site: WordPress, Shopify, Wix or headless (content in one system, pages served from another). English, Arabic or both.

  • 98 average PageSpeed across client sites
  • 99+ projects delivered
  • 15+ years of experience

What we do

Website design and development built for Dubai businesses

Your company website has 3 jobs, whoever builds it. Google has to find it. Visitors should enquire instead of bouncing, and your marketing team should be able to add a page without raising a ticket. Good design settles all 3 before anyone picks a colour (the easy bit).

  • A written brief before anyone opens Figma
  • A speed budget set before the first component
  • Arabic and English designed side by side

A site nobody can update is a brochure with a hosting bill

  1. Decide what the site is for

A brochure, an online store, a lead-generation site and a booking system can look alike in a pitch, but they're 4 different products. So your brief starts with the site's one job and who it's for. The homepage comes last, because it can't point people anywhere until you know where they're going.

  2. Plan speed before the design

Our old homepage loaded 93 CSS and JavaScript files; the rebuilt one loads 6. Your project gets the same discipline through a speed budget: a cap on page weight and scripts, agreed before design starts. Your designer works inside it, so a hero video has to earn its seconds. Then every template is checked against Core Web Vitals, Google's speed and stability measures.

  3. Hand your team the keys

Say it's next quarter and you need a new service page and a Ramadan offer live by Thursday. Your marketing team should be able to publish both in the CMS (content management system, where pages get edited) with no agency invoice. So whoever will maintain the site picks the platform. Sometimes that's the simpler one.

Start with the platform or problem closest to yours. Where one of our web design services has its own page, the card title opens it. No page yet? Ask anyway.

How we work

How our web design process works, from brief to launch

Most sites take 4 to 12 weeks across 4 stages, and design and code rarely set the pace; content and sign-offs do. Each stage ends with something you can check, like a written brief or a private preview link, not a progress email.

A written brief before any design

It starts with a conversation and ends in writing: who your site is for, and the one thing it should get them to do. Where does your current site lose them? You probably know already. Then come the sitemap and URL structure, plus the data model if you run listings or a big catalogue.

  • Your audience and main action, in writing
  • Sitemap and URL structure before layouts
  • Speed budget and accessibility target set
  • Platform picked by who'll run your site
  • A named owner for every page of content

A component system, tested at phone size

Your design starts at phone width. UI/UX design (user interface and user experience) is about whether people get things done, so that's what gets tested. Instead of 12 one-off pages, you get a component library: later pages reuse the parts, so they're quicker to add and still match. Responsive design is checked with your real copy.

  • Component library for every page type
  • Mobile-first layouts checked at phone sizes
  • Arabic right-to-left designed in, not flipped
  • Empty, loading and error states designed
  • Your sign-off on a Figma prototype first

Built on staging, editable by your team

Every build happens on a staging site first: a private copy only your team and ours can see. Images go out as WebP or AVIF, and fonts are cut to the weights you use. Third-party scripts have to justify themselves; many don't. Structured data (code that describes each page to Google) and hreflang go in from the start.

  • Staging site for your review, hidden from Google
  • Structured data and hreflang from day one
  • Every form and conversion event tested
  • CMS training and a written handover
  • Core Web Vitals checked before launch

Launch-day checks, then aftercare

Launch day runs off a checklist, because the small stuff bites. A noindex tag left over from staging hides your whole site from Google; a form still pointing at a test inbox loses your enquiries for days. After launch, every site drifts as plugins update and scripts pile up. Aftercare is how you catch it early.

  • Noindex, robots.txt and sitemap checked
  • Old URLs redirected at switch-over
  • Forms re-tested on the live domain
  • Search Console and GA4 checked after go-live
  • Aftercare options agreed before launch

How we use AI

Where AI helps our web development, and where people decide

01

Research for the brief

The research behind your brief used to be the slow part: competitor sites, keyword exports, too many open tabs. AI gets through that pile faster. It's decent at spotting patterns, too. Whether a pattern matters for your business is a judgement call that a strategist makes with you.

02

First drafts, then a writer

AI roughs out repetitive first drafts for your site, like page outlines, meta descriptions and image alt text. That's all they are: a starting point. A writer reviews and rewrites them in your voice, checking each fact against what you've told us. No line goes live until a person has read it.

03

Faster builds and checks

Your build has repetitive work, like boilerplate code (the standard, repeated bits) or a checklist of every form and link to test on staging. AI drafts those parts faster, freeing your developer for decisions that need judgement. Nothing ships on a tool's say-so. A developer reviews every change before release.

04

The weeks after launch

If we look after your live site, AI helps sift Search Console and GA4 for changes worth a second look: a page that's dropped out of Google's index, say, or a form that's gone quiet since Tuesday. Plenty of what it flags is noise. People decide what's real, and agree the fixes with your team.

Stage 01 / 04

Why us

Why choose our web design agency in Dubai

Adnika has 15+ years behind it: 99+ projects delivered, 140+ brands grown, offices in Dubai and Stockholm, work in Arabic and English. Here's what that changes for you.

We rebuilt our own site first

In July 2026 we moved adnika.com off WordPress and onto Astro and Storyblok, hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The homepage HTML shrank from 714 KB to 229 KB. All 180 old URLs were mapped, and referring domains (other sites linking to us) held at 164. Your site would get the same process.

Speed is set before design starts

Speed gets decided at the brief, not in the last fortnight. Your speed budget goes into it, and the design lives inside that budget, every font and script included. Across our client sites, Google PageSpeed scores average 98. The alternative is cutting features 2 weeks before launch, and nobody enjoys that meeting.

A platform your own team can run

Whoever runs your site after launch gets the deciding vote on the platform: WordPress, Shopify, Wix, HubSpot CMS or headless. A 2-person marketing team and a store with a big catalogue need very different things. Either way, your enquiries can flow straight into your CRM.

SEO structure, not SEO afterwards

URLs and internal links get settled while your sitemap is still a spreadsheet, and schema (structured data) goes into the templates, not onto pages later. Each of your service pages gets 1 search phrase to own. Retrofitting structure onto a finished site is one of the costlier fixes. Guaranteed rankings? No, but you won't start behind.

Capabilities in detail

What our web development company in Dubai builds

Web development in Dubai covers more than pages, so here's the lot, roughly in the order you'd bump into it. Where we'd talk you out of something, we say so.

UI/UX and responsive web design

Before anyone falls for a desktop mockup, your design gets tried at phone width, sized for one thumb. Can you hit the buttons and read the text without pinching? That's what a user-friendly website comes down to. Only then does it become a responsive website, stretched for tablets and big monitors.

Custom web design and components

Bought templates are quick to start and a pain to bend; a custom website works the other way round. Your visual design is drawn for your brand, then split into reusable parts (headers, cards, forms, tables) your editors can combine without wrecking the look. Page 50 still belongs.

WordPress websites

Concept Plus, Roxana Aesthetics and German Medical Center (GMC) all run on WordPress, so its quirks are familiar. Your plugin list stays short, since every plugin is one more thing to patch, and WP Rocket handles caching. Your editors rely on Elementor? It stays, unless it's dragging every page down.

Ecommerce website design and development

Most of your online store's work sits below the homepage: product pages, filters, checkout and payment. Yours can run on Shopify, like Bafco's, or on WooCommerce if your site is already WordPress. Selling to businesses too? A quote-request route can sit beside the cart.

Wix and Wix Studio sites

If your team is small and wants to make changes without phoning anyone, Wix Studio is often all you need. We'll say so, even though a bigger build would earn us more. Its limits show on very large sites and heavy integrations; you'll hear about them in the brief.

Storyblok and Astro builds

Storyblok holds your content and Astro turns it into fast static pages; keeping the two apart is what headless means. Our own site has run that way since July 2026. It suits you if you publish a lot and won't give up speed. A 10-page brochure? Overkill.

Web applications and portals

Picture a property site where buyers filter by area and price. There, the data model matters more than the homepage, so the work is scoped like software: user roles, data and edge cases agreed with you first. Real estate web design often needs this, as do client portals and dashboards.

Motion and scroll-driven scenes

Concept Plus is a scroll-driven WebGL scene on WordPress, with a Floor Plan panel listing the group's divisions. For new motion work we use GSAP, Three.js and Lenis. Fair warning: your site probably wants quieter motion, and every effect has to pay for its weight.

Right-to-left and bilingual layouts

Flip a finished English layout for Arabic and the problems show at once: arrows pointing backwards, labels on the wrong side. So right-to-left gets designed in from the first template. Type is picked to read well on screens, and hreflang sends Arabic searchers to your Arabic pages.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

Your pages are built to Google's 3 Core Web Vitals thresholds: main content showing within 2.5 s (LCP), a response to a tap within 200 ms (INP), and layout shift at 0.1 or less (CLS). Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights test them on mobile settings. Ever tapped a button that jumped at the last second? That's CLS.

SEO foundations built in

Search basics come with your build, because web development and SEO overlap. Titles and headings get written around what your buyers type into Google, and canonical tags point at the version of each page that counts. JSON-LD schema and an XML sitemap are ready before launch. Ongoing ranking work is a separate job for our SEO service.

Accessibility to WCAG

Accessibility and search want mostly the same things, which surprises people. A screen reader leans on your headings; so does Google's crawler, and both need alt text to understand images. Before launch, your templates are checked against WCAG (the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) for contrast, focus states, keyboard paths and form labels.

Forms, tracking and your CRM

Follow one enquiry. Someone fills in your form, GA4 logs a key event (a conversion you've chosen to count), and the lead lands in HubSpot CRM, Odoo or Goyzer via REST APIs or webhooks. Then someone on your team gets a ping. The whole chain is tested before launch.

Security, maintenance and support

Aftercare is about keeping your site the way it was on launch day. Plugins and themes need updates, and a backup only counts once someone has restored it. Cloudflare can sit in front to filter junk traffic, and if a WordPress site gets hacked, we handle malware clean-up too.

Existing sites and migrations

When we moved our own site, 129 of the 180 URLs stayed put and the other 51 got 301 redirects. All 61 blog posts kept their addresses. For your site, a technical website audit comes first; it may show that a few fixes beat a rebuild. If it can't, you'd move on to our website redesign service.

FAQ

Hiring a web design company in Dubai: your questions answered

Comparing agencies? Start with how to choose and what drives cost, then platforms and Google. The answers are plain, with no figures we can't back up.

Put the web design companies in Dubai on your shortlist through 5 checks. Load 2 or 3 of each agency's live client sites on your phone, over mobile data. Check it's a registered company in the UAE. Get the quote's contents, and who owns your domain, code and logins, in writing. Then ask what a new page costs after launch. Comparing web development companies instead? Same checks.

Scope sets the cost, not the label on the proposal. It mostly comes down to 5 things: how many page templates you need, a second language, CRM or booking integrations, who writes the content, and the platform. We scope before quoting, so you see what each part involves. Tight budget? A smaller first version usually beats a cheaper agency. Our pricing page goes deeper.

'A website' can mean a bought theme with your logo dropped in, or a component system with a speed budget and a CMS your team can actually use. Different jobs, different quotes. Line them up against what's included: templates, content, integrations, testing, handover. Then ask each agency what a new page will cost in 6 months. That answer usually explains the gap.

Most sites take 4 to 12 weeks. What usually stretches your timeline is waiting, for copy or for one more round of approval. A small site with the copy ready sits toward the shorter end; a bilingual catalogue that needs 4 directors to sign off won't. Big sites can also go live in phases, busiest pages first.

At minimum, design and the build itself. A website development company in Dubai should also cover the planning before the build (strategy, sitemap, content) and the care afterwards, because that's where your site's results get decided. Our own web development services run wider: WordPress, Shopify and Wix builds, ecommerce, web applications, Arabic sites and CRM integration, plus SEO set-up and maintenance.

Design decides what people see and do on your site; development makes it work on every device. Take a contact form. The designer chooses its fields and where it sits. The developer makes it check what's typed, send each lead to your CRM and load fast on a phone. When you compare web designers and developers in Dubai, ask how the two halves hand over.

If your site is small and you're happy to run the project yourself, a good freelancer may be all you need. It gets harder once design, build, content and aftercare overlap: one person becomes the bottleneck, however talented, and their holiday becomes your holiday. An agency spreads that load across a team. Either way, ask what's in the handover and who covers when someone's away.

You should, and the contract should spell it out. That means 5 things: the domain registered to your company, the hosting account in your name, admin logins for every system, the design files and the code. If an agency holds on to any of them, leaving later gets slow and expensive. So read the ownership clause before you sign.

Context, content, community, customisation, communication, connection and commerce: the 7 parts of a website's customer interface, as set out by Jeffrey Rayport and Bernard Jaworski. On most business sites, 4 tend to matter most. Context is layout and how the site works; content is what you say. Communication is how people reach you (yes, WhatsApp counts), and commerce matters once they can pay or book.

Yes, for most UAE businesses, as long as it's a professional website with a job you can measure: enquiries, bookings or sales. Then you can hold it against what it cost. AI search tools read your pages as well, and a clear structure makes your pages easier for them to follow. Only need a placeholder while you sort out the business? A DIY builder will do for now.

Ask who'll update your site every week, and you're most of the way there. Selling online, with checkout at the centre? Shopify, usually. Lots of service pages and articles, and editors who know WordPress? Stay on WordPress. Wix Studio suits small teams with nobody technical. Headless (Storyblok and Astro) earns its extra effort when you need speed and easy editing at once.

Yes, and the 2 languages get designed together from the first template. Arabic reads right to left, so navigation, icons, sliders and forms are laid out for it rather than flipped by a plugin at the end. Each of your Arabic pages gets its own titles and descriptions, plus hreflang tags telling Google which language it's in. Leave Arabic until the English site is finished, and readers can tell.

We built Bafco's store on Shopify, and that's usually where we'd start with yours. If your content already lives in WordPress, WooCommerce can fit better. Either way, the effort goes into your product and category templates, filters that work on a phone, and a checkout tested end to end. Moving an existing store? Every product URL goes on the redirect map.

Your build ships with the SEO foundations; ongoing SEO is a separate service. Foundations means what Google needs from day one: clean URLs, proper titles and headings, schema, an XML sitemap, sensible internal links and quick pages. After launch, content and reporting sit with our SEO team, while your tested enquiry forms give that traffic somewhere to go.

Slow pages lose visitors before they've read a word, especially on a phone in a mall car park. Core Web Vitals are also one of many signals in Google's ranking systems. Google's good thresholds: LCP (main content showing) within 2.5 s, INP (response to a tap) within 200 ms, CLS (layout jumping around) at 0.1 or less. Your pages are tested against all 3 before launch.

If your team can't edit the site after launch, the build has failed, however good it looks. You get CMS training on your own site and a written handover covering the jobs people forget, like adding a team member or changing a price. Page types are built as reusable templates, so next year's new service page shouldn't need us.

Sites decay. Scripts creep in, and outdated plugins are a common way in for attackers. Our website maintenance service covers updates and backups. If your WordPress site has already been hacked, our malware removal work cleans it up and aims to close the gap it came through. Or you can take it all in-house.

Both, and an audit decides which. If the structure is sound, the work is usually speed, content and conversion fixes to the site you have. If not, our website redesign service takes over, planned around the URLs Google already knows. What we'd steer you away from? Moving a site to a new platform before anyone knows why it's underperforming.

There are 7 published case studies on our case studies page. For web builds, start with these 2: German Medical Center (GMC) and Concept Plus, both on WordPress. GMC's case study reports +73% leads and 2x conversions across the whole engagement, not from the website alone. That's one client's result, mind you, not a promise about your site.
