Brand awareness in Dubai, with a number attached to it

Awareness is the easiest budget to spend and the hardest to defend, because most of it is reported as impressions. The useful question is narrower and answerable: are more of the right people searching for you by name than were last quarter?

  • +288% organic traffic, German Medical Center
  • Measured share of search, not impressions
  • 7 programmes published with their numbers

Partners & recognition

The stack we work in, the clients we keep

The platforms we build and run campaigns in, and the clients whose numbers we publish with their names on. HubSpot is the one partnership we claim; the rest are tools we use, not badges.

The problem

Impressions are not awareness

A million impressions tells you a server delivered an advert a million times. It tells you nothing about whether anybody now knows who you are, and it is what almost every awareness report in this market leads with.

Why awareness budgets get cut first

  1. It was never made measurable

Reach and impressions go up because spend went up. That is arithmetic, not evidence. When the finance conversation comes, there is nothing to point at, so awareness is the first line cut.

  2. It was measured on last-click

Awareness activity almost never gets last-click credit — its whole job is to happen earlier. Judged on a last-click report it always looks like the worst performing thing you do, right up until you stop and demand falls.

  3. Reach was bought without relevance

Cheap reach is easy to buy in this market and largely worthless. Being seen by a hundred thousand people who will never buy is more expensive than being seen by five thousand who might.

  4. Nothing happens after the impression

Someone becomes aware, searches your name a week later, and lands on a page that does not answer their question. The awareness worked; the site wasted it. Branded search is where awareness cashes out, and it is usually nobody's job.

What is included

How we make awareness measurable

Not a promise that it works. A set of numbers that move or do not, agreed before the campaign starts.

Share of search

Your branded search volume as a proportion of the category. It correlates with market share better than almost anything else available without commissioning research, it is measurable monthly, and it costs nothing but the discipline to track it.

Branded search volume

The most direct evidence awareness moved: more people typing your name. Tracked from Search Console and Semrush, split by language, so an Arabic-language campaign can be evidenced separately.

Direct and organic entry

People arriving without a referrer or searching your name are a leading indicator of awareness, and both are visible in your own analytics rather than in a platform's self-reported numbers.

Qualified reach, not cheap reach

Targeting the audience that can actually buy, and reporting reach within that audience rather than gross impressions. Smaller numbers, honest ones.

Creative built for no-sound, no-click

Most awareness impressions are muted, thumb-scrolled and never clicked. The brand has to land in the first second and without audio, or the impression genuinely was worthless.

Channel mix for awareness

Paid social, YouTube, display, PR and the organic content that keeps working after the flight ends. Weighted to where your audience actually is in this market rather than where the media plan template says.

Search capture behind it

Awareness creates branded searches; something has to be there to receive them. Branded search coverage, a page that answers the question, and defensive brand bidding where competitors are bidding on your name.

Before-and-after measurement

Baselines taken before the campaign, the same measures after, and honesty about what else changed in the period. Without a baseline there is no argument, only assertion.

Technology

What we measure it with

Awareness is measurable with tools you already have, provided you take the baseline first.

Demand measurement

Whether more people are looking for you.

  • Google Search Console
  • Semrush
  • Google Trends
  • ValueSERP
  • Share of search model

Behaviour

What they do once aware.

  • Google Analytics 4
  • Direct and branded organic entry
  • Hotjar
  • Microsoft Clarity

Media

Where the reach is bought.

  • Meta Ads
  • YouTube Ads
  • TikTok Ads
  • LinkedIn Ads
  • Google Display
  • Programmatic

Creative

What actually gets made.

  • Figma
  • Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Premiere Pro
  • After Effects
  • Motion and social-first video

How we work

How an awareness programme runs

The baseline is taken first. Without it there is nothing to compare against and the whole exercise becomes unfalsifiable.

Measure before spending

Branded search volume, share of search against named competitors, direct traffic and current coverage. Taken before a dirham is spent, because a baseline collected afterwards is not a baseline.

  • Branded search volume by language
  • Share of search against named competitors
  • Direct and organic entry baseline
  • Competitor visibility benchmark

Reach worth having

Who can actually buy, where they are, and what they would need to believe. Cheap reach is easy in this market and mostly worthless, so this stage is mainly about what to exclude.

  • Audience definition and exclusions
  • Channel selection by where they are
  • Frequency and budget planning
  • Language split agreed

Creative that survives being scrolled

Brand present in the first second, legible without sound, cut per platform rather than resized once. Then run with enough frequency to register and enough discipline to stop what is not landing.

  • Platform-native creative
  • Brand visible in the first second
  • Frequency managed, not maximised
  • Weekly pruning of what is not working

The measurement that defends the budget

The same measures as the baseline, at the same cadence, with honest attribution of what else changed. Plus branded search capture, so the demand created actually lands somewhere useful.

  • Monthly share of search tracking
  • Branded search growth reported
  • Branded search capture in place
  • Honest account of confounding factors

Why us

Why our awareness work survives the budget review

Because we agree what would count as evidence before spending, not after.

Share of search, tracked monthly

Branded search as a proportion of the category. It correlates with market share, it costs nothing to measure, and almost nobody in this market reports it.

Qualified reach, reported honestly

Reach within the audience that can buy, not gross impressions. The number is smaller and it means something, which is a trade worth making.

A baseline taken before spending

Without it every claim afterwards is assertion. It costs a week and it is the difference between a defensible programme and an unfalsifiable one.

Something to catch the demand

Awareness produces branded searches. We make sure there is a page that answers them and, where competitors bid on your name, a defensive position on your own brand term.

Questions

Brand awareness, answered plainly

Mostly about measurement, which is what Google shows people asking.

Four things that are all available without commissioning research: branded search volume, share of search against named competitors, direct and branded organic entry to the site, and qualified reach. Take a baseline before the campaign, measure the same things after, and be honest about what else changed in the period.

Share of search is the strongest single one — your branded search volume as a percentage of the category total. It moves with real awareness, it is measurable monthly from tools you already have, and unlike impressions it cannot be inflated simply by spending more.

There is no universal number, and anyone quoting one is selling something. What matters is the direction and the gap: is your share of search growing, and how far behind the category leader are you? Those are answerable in a week.

Impressions count deliveries, not people, and go up whenever spend goes up. Reach counts people but not relevance. Both are inputs. Branded search and share of search are outcomes — they only move if somebody actually remembered you.

AED 15,000 to AED 60,000 per month covers most of what we are asked to build. The number moves on media spend, how much creative is produced, how many languages, and whether video production is included. Anything quoted before those are known is a guess. We scope first, then price, and the scope document is yours whether or not you proceed. These are market ranges rather than a fixed rate card — the proposal carries the real figure.

Roughly seventy to eighty percent media, twenty to thirty creative, on a normal programme. Skewing too far toward media buys reach for work that does not land; skewing too far toward creative makes beautiful work nobody sees.

No, and the distinction matters. Branding is identity, positioning and design system — who you are. This is awareness: making the people who could buy actually know you exist, and proving it moved. We do the second. If you need the first, we will say so rather than sell you a campaign that runs on a weak identity.

Branded search typically starts responding in six to twelve weeks at meaningful frequency, and share of search over two to three quarters. Anything faster is usually demand you captured rather than created.

Often better than for consumer, because the buying committee is small and reachable. Being the name already known when a requirement appears is most of the advantage in a long sales cycle, and it is measurable the same way.

Then we say so and we look at why: wrong audience, insufficient frequency, creative that did not register, or a category with less demand than assumed. A baseline exists precisely so that conversation can be factual rather than defensive.

No questions match — try another search.
