Food photography in Dubai that matches what arrives at the table

A mouth-watering picture of food your chef cannot repeat costs you more than it earns. We photograph your menu at service portion, as your chef finishes it, for print, the apps and Instagram in one day.

  • Reproducible what the chef sends out
  • Platform specs Talabat, Careem, print
  • One day menu, social and apps

Platforms & clients

The stack we work in, the clients we keep

The platforms we build and run campaigns in, and the clients whose numbers we publish with their names on. These are tools we use, not partner badges.

The problem

A dish the kitchen cannot reproduce

A stylist can make any dish look irresistible for a single photograph. It takes tweezers, an angle no guest ever sees and garnish the service version never gets. Stunning visuals like that set an expectation your team will miss on every order.

Where food photoshoots go wrong

  1. The chef was not in the room

A stylist spent the morning arranging it for the camera, and on a busy night the line sends it out another way. Now the menu photograph and the dish a guest receives disagree. Having the chef plate on the day costs nothing and prevents it.

  2. The app specs were never checked

Talabat, Deliveroo and Careem each set their own rules for crop and background, and for what may appear in the picture. Photographing without them means recropping, and often a second booking.

  3. Everything was photographed the same way

One angle and one light for forty dishes gives you a menu that is consistent to the point of being visually monotonous. It also leaves nothing new for Instagram or a campaign from a day you already paid for.

  4. Nothing was photographed vertically

Every picture came back horizontal or square, while your Instagram Stories and Reels need a tall frame. Cropping a wide picture to fit cuts half the food out of it.

What is included

What our food photographers cover on the day

We plan every photoshoot around where you will use high-quality food photography, which is usually more places than the brief lists. Your target audience meets the same food on the menu, the apps, your website and Google.

Menu and in-house photography

Consistent across the range, so a printed or digital menu shares one visual identity. Everything is photographed as it leaves the pass during service, which keeps the food presentation honest.

Pictures for the ordering apps

Each picture meets the current rules of the apps you sell on, from the crop to what may appear in it. Those rules differ between apps and they change, so we check them before the photoshoot.

Social and campaign imagery

Vertical, styled more freely around a theme, and lit for an editorial look instead of accuracy. This is commercial food photography, where food styling and art direction earn their place and where you try new ideas for eye-catching social content.

Ambience and venue

The room, the bar and the terrace, photographed when the light suits them and showing the venue's personality. That usually means a different time of day from the food.

Chef and team portraits

Portraits of the chef and the team give your restaurant's About page, press kit and social feed a face. They take little time to capture alongside the food, and they show the culture behind the menu.

Process and behind the scenes

Prep, the pass and the final garnish, filmed and photographed while service runs. Behind-the-scenes visual content like this feels authentic because it is, and it is the part a brief most often forgets.

Video from the same day

Short vertical clips of a sauce being poured or the final touch going on, for Reels and TikTok. The setup and the food are already paid for, so the footage costs a fraction of a separate day.

Retouching to a consistent standard

Restrained, so the food still looks like food, with colour matched to the real thing. Our retouching page covers the method, and the same editing standard runs across the whole set.

Ads that run the new pictures

The Adnika Dashboard: one live view of a client's ads, analytics and CRM data, with AI recommendations reviewed by the strategist. When we also run your advertising, it shows how each ad that carries the new pictures performs.

Technology

The equipment we bring to set

Controlled lighting, high-end equipment and a method that gives your chef a role on set. Every item below is planned before the photoshoot, so nothing on the day is improvised.

Capture

Controlled and repeatable.

  • Studio and continuous lighting
  • Cameras and macro lenses for texture and detail
  • Tethered capture so the chef can review
  • Vertical and horizontal at every setup

On set

So it is reproducible.

  • Chef plating on the day
  • Service-standard portions
  • Your real serviceware and props
  • Reference pictures of the agreed standard

Specification

Checked before the day.

  • Talabat and Careem listing specs
  • Menu and print requirements
  • Website and social crops
  • Google Business Profile

Post

Restrained.

  • Colour matched to what you serve
  • Consistent retouching and editing across the set
  • Custom crops and sizes for each platform
  • Polished files organised by menu item

How we work

How a food photoshoot runs

Our food photographers check the specs first, have your chef finish everything, and photograph every placement in one day.

All of them

We agree which dishes go where, from the printed menu to the apps and your posts. If your menu runs in Arabic and English, we leave room in each picture for text in both, and Arabic reads right to left. Knowing this before the day lets one photoshoot cover everything.

  • Dish list agreed with the culinary team
  • App specs confirmed as current
  • Vertical and horizontal needs listed
  • Running order planned around service

Presentation to service standard

The chef plates, not a stylist, at the portion the customer receives. The camera is tethered to a screen, so the chef can see each picture and adjust it. We keep a reference frame of the agreed standard.

  • Chef on set from the first order
  • Service portions, not styled ones
  • Tethered review with the chef
  • Reference pictures kept as the house standard

In the same setup

Vertical and horizontal versions of everything on the list, tight and wide, plus short video clips while the food still looks its freshest. A fresh salad wilts and a sauce loses its shine within minutes, so the running order is planned around that.

  • Both crops for every food shot
  • Video captured alongside stills
  • Hero framing and shallow depth of field
  • Venue pictures at the right time of day

Per platform

Cropped and sized for each destination and named so your team can find them, ready to upload. The turnaround is agreed in the scope before the photoshoot, so you know the end date from the start.

  • Cropped per platform
  • Named for easy retrieval
  • Platform specs checked before handover
  • Reference pictures included as a guide for new staff

Why us

Why these images will still be right in a year

Because our professional food photographers in Dubai record what your chef sends out on a normal night, not what a stylist built for one photograph.

The chef finishes every order

At service portion, by the person who will cook it again tonight, so it looks and tastes the same. A great food photo of a dish the line cannot repeat sets up a disappointment every time someone orders it.

App specs checked first

Talabat and Careem each set their own image rules, and those rules change. We check them before the photoshoot, so you avoid a recrop or a second day of photography.

One day covers every placement

Menu, apps, social media and website, in both crops, plus video. The food and the setup are already paid for, so capturing everything on the day is cheaper than coming back.

Retouching stays restrained

The food still has to look like the food that arrives. Over-retouched menu photography may add visual appeal, but customers notice it and trust the rest of the menu less.

Start a projectSend us your menu and the apps you sell on. We will come back with a plan for the day and an honest view of how much one day covers.

Questions

Food photography, answered plainly

Straight answers for a restaurant or food brand owner hiring food photographers in Dubai, from cost and timing to what a single day covers.

It depends on the scope, and the number of dishes on your list moves it most. Food styling, video, venue pictures, usage rights and the location all change it as well. We quote after a short call to discuss the menu and where the images will be used. Any company that names a figure before that call is guessing.

It depends on your chef more than on us. A big menu, a line that is also cooking for guests or dishes that need individual styling all slow the day down. We agree a realistic number before the day, so the shot list fits the time you have.

Usually on location at your venue, where the food is fresh, the chef is on hand and the room is photographed on the same day. A studio makes sense for packaged products, or when the restaurant has no space to work.

Between services, usually mid-morning to early afternoon, so the chef can work without competing with orders. Venue pictures often need late afternoon or evening light, so a full day may split in two.

For menu and app pictures, usually not, because food your chef finishes stays reproducible. For campaign and hero imagery, where the aesthetic goes beyond service presentation, food styling earns its cost. Decide which of the two you need before the day.

Yes, to their current specifications, and for Careem as well. Each app has its own rules on crop and background and on what may appear in the picture, and those rules change. We confirm them before the photoshoot, not after a rejection.

Yes, and it is good value, because the food, the setup and the chef's time are already committed. Short vertical clips then cost a fraction of a separate day. Plan them into the schedule, because food looks its freshest for a short window.

Yes, and the room usually needs a different time of day from the food. Add it to the same booking rather than planning a second visit, and the venue pictures share one edit with the menu.

Drinks are a different discipline, so flag them when you send the menu. Beverage photography needs its own lighting, because glassware reflects everything in the room and ice starts melting as soon as it hits the glass. We allow more time for each drink than for each course.

We keep it restrained: colour corrected to match the real thing and distractions removed, and that is largely it. Heavily retouched food pictures are easy to spot, and they undermine trust in the menu instead of building appetite.

You do, with full usage rights across menus, apps, social, print and advertising. We ask separately before we include anything from the day in our own portfolio.

Yes, send them over and our food photographers will check two things for you. First, whether they meet each app's current specifications, and second, whether the food in each picture matches exactly what your chef sends out. Both are common problems, and both are cheap to fix.

We scope each shoot around your menu instead of selling from a rate card. The quote lists the dishes and the placements, plus extras such as adding video or a food stylist, once those are known.

You need different framing for each, not a separate day. Delivery-app pictures keep the food clean and true to what arrives, while pictures for social are vertical and styled more freely. One day covers both when the shot list plans for it.

Send us the menu a few days ahead and prep the ingredients as you would for service. Have your real serviceware ready, and book a slot between services so the chef is not cooking for guests at the same time.

Whenever the dishes or their presentation change, for a new menu, a seasonal special or a restaurant launch. Refresh sooner if the pictures no longer match what the guest receives, because that gap shows up in reviews and in your reputation.

Dubai's food scene runs from fine-dining courses to rustic street food, and we photograph plated meals across cuisines and settings. Desserts, ingredients and packaged products for food brands work too, as do catering spreads if the timing is planned.
