Website maintenance in Dubai, with the scope written down

Maintenance is the easiest thing in this industry to sell vaguely and the easiest to underdeliver. So here is what a retainer contains, what it does not, and what happens when something breaks at nine on a Thursday night.

  • 97 PageSpeed held on a maintained build
  • 7 published case studies, several still maintained
  • 1 day reply from a named person

Tell us what you need

A senior person reads this and replies within one working day. No call centre, no drip sequence.

Partners & recognition

The stack we work in, the clients we keep

The platforms we build and run campaigns in, and the clients whose numbers we publish with their names on. HubSpot is the one partnership we claim; the rest are tools we use, not badges.

  • German Medical Center
  • The Reformery Clinic
  • Alma Laser
  • Roxana Aesthetics Clinic
  • Lamel
  • Dotline Studios

The problem

Neglect is quiet right up until it is not

Nothing visibly breaks for a year. Then a plugin update collides with a theme override, or someone finds an unpatched vulnerability, and the site is gone on the week of your campaign.

What we are usually called in to fix

  1. Updates nobody applied

WordPress core, plugins and themes ship security fixes constantly. A site eighteen months behind is not stable, it is exposed. We have cleaned up compromised sites where the entry point was a plugin with a patch published two years earlier.

  2. Backups that were never tested

A backup you have not restored is a belief, not a backup. The moment to find out that the database dump excluded a table is not the morning the site is down. We restore to a staging environment on a schedule so the answer is known in advance.

  3. Speed that decayed

A site launches at PageSpeed 95. Two years of images uploaded straight from a phone, four new tracking scripts and a chat widget later, it is at 40. Nobody made a bad decision; twenty small ones added up.

  4. The small fixes queue

A broken link, a form that stopped emailing, a page that looks wrong on one phone. Each is fifteen minutes and none of them is anyone's job, so they sit there for months while the form quietly does not send.

What is included

What a maintenance retainer actually covers

The same list every month, so you can check whether you got it. Anything outside it is quoted before it starts, never absorbed and never billed as a surprise.

Updates, on staging first

Core, plugins, themes and dependencies applied to a staging copy, checked against the pages that matter, then promoted. Updating a live site directly and hoping is not a maintenance process.

Security monitoring

Malware scanning, file integrity checks, login hardening, and a firewall configured for the platform rather than switched on generically. If something does get in, containment and clean-up are in scope.

Backups, and restore tests

Daily database, weekly full, retained off the hosting account so a compromised server does not take the backups with it. Restored to staging on a schedule, and we tell you the date it was last verified.

Uptime monitoring

Checked every minute from more than one location. You hear from us before you hear from a customer, which is the entire point of paying for monitoring.

Performance

Core Web Vitals tracked monthly on real page URLs, not on the homepage alone. When a number drifts we tell you what caused it, including when the cause was a script your marketing team added.

Content and small fixes

A defined number of hours each month for edits, new pages, form changes and the things that never make it onto a project plan. Unused hours are reported rather than silently kept.

Broken links and forms

Checked on a schedule, including that enquiry forms actually deliver to a monitored inbox. A form that fails silently is worse than no form, because you do not know you are losing enquiries.

A monthly report a person wrote

What was updated, what broke, what we fixed, what the numbers did and what we recommend next. One page. Not forty pages of automated charts nobody opens.

Technology

What we maintain, and with what

We maintain sites we did not build, provided we can audit them first.

Platforms

The ones we support on retainer.

  • WordPress
  • WooCommerce
  • Shopify
  • Wix
  • HubSpot CMS
  • Astro
  • Next.js
  • Laravel
  • Static sites

Monitoring

Uptime, errors and real-user performance.

  • UptimeRobot
  • Better Stack
  • Sentry
  • Google Search Console
  • PageSpeed Insights API
  • Chrome UX Report

Security

Prevention, then containment.

  • Wordfence
  • Cloudflare WAF
  • Sucuri
  • SSL monitoring
  • Two-factor enforcement

Backups

Off the server they protect.

  • UpdraftPlus
  • Cloudflare R2
  • Amazon S3
  • Automated restore tests

Hosting we work with

Where clients already are.

  • Cloudflare
  • GoDaddy
  • SiteGround
  • WP Engine
  • Kinsta
  • AWS
  • Hetzner
  • cPanel and LiteSpeed

How we work

How the retainer runs

Predictable by design. The point of maintenance is that you stop thinking about it.

Finding out what we are taking on

Before any retainer starts: platform version, plugin inventory, known vulnerabilities, backup status, speed baseline and whatever the last agency left behind. You get the findings whether or not you sign anything.

  • Vulnerability and version audit
  • Backup and restore verification
  • Speed and Core Web Vitals baseline
  • Written findings, yours to keep

The first month is not business as usual

Bringing everything current, fixing what the audit found, setting up staging, monitoring and off-server backups. Most sites need real work here, and we would rather do it up front than pretend month one is routine.

  • Updates brought current on staging
  • Staging environment established
  • Monitoring and alerting configured
  • Off-server backups running

The monthly cycle

Updates on staging, security scan, backup verification, performance check, your fix queue, then the report. Same order every month so anything missed is obvious.

  • Scheduled update window
  • Security and integrity scan
  • Restore test on a rotation
  • Your fix queue cleared
  • One-page written report

When something actually breaks

A named person, not a ticket queue. Site down is treated as urgent regardless of the hour. Everything else gets a same-working-day acknowledgement with a realistic estimate rather than an optimistic one.

  • Named contact, not a shared inbox
  • Site-down handled out of hours
  • Same-working-day acknowledgement
  • Post-incident note explaining the cause

Why us

Why our retainer is different

Mostly because it is specific. Vagueness is how maintenance contracts get underdelivered without anyone noticing.

Response times in writing

Site down is urgent whenever it happens. Everything else is acknowledged the same working day with an honest estimate. Written into the agreement, not implied in a sales conversation.

Backups are restored, not just taken

On a rotation, to staging. We will tell you the date of the last verified restore. Most providers cannot answer that question, which tells you what their backups are worth.

Speed is tracked, not assumed

Core Web Vitals monthly on real URLs. When something regresses you get the cause, including when the cause was a tag someone in marketing added on a Friday.

A named person who knows your site

Not a rotating queue reading a ticket for the first time. The same people who audited it, which is why the answers come back faster.

Start a projectSend us the URL and we will run the audit first. You get the findings either way.

Questions

Website maintenance, answered plainly

Including what it costs and what happens the night something goes wrong.

AED 1,500 to AED 12,000 per month covers most of what we are asked to build. The number moves on platform, traffic, how many content hours you want included, and whether the site starts in good condition or needs a stabilisation month first. Anything quoted before those are known is a guess. We scope first, then price, and the scope document is yours whether or not you proceed. These are market ranges rather than a fixed rate card — the proposal carries the real figure.

Because it usually is more. Most sites arriving on a retainer are behind on updates, have untested backups and no staging environment. Fixing that is real work, quoted separately after the audit so you can see exactly what you are paying to correct.

Yes, after an audit. Occasionally the audit finds something we will not take responsibility for — a heavily modified core, or a nulled plugin — and we will say so rather than take the retainer and inherit the risk quietly.

New feature development, redesigns, migrations and content strategy. Those get quoted as projects. Keeping that line clear is what stops a retainer turning into an argument about what was implied.

They are reported so you can see them, and we would rather you used them than lost them. If you consistently do not, that is a signal the retainer is the wrong size and we will say so.

Containment first: take it off the public internet if needed, identify the entry point, clean or restore from a verified backup, patch the hole, then re-submit to Google if it was flagged. On a retainer, clean-up is included. We have done this on live client sites and the write-up matters more than the speed.

They go to staging first and get checked against the pages that matter. If an update breaks something, it does not get promoted, and we find the fix or hold the version and tell you why.

Usually yes. We work with Cloudflare, GoDaddy, SiteGround, WP Engine, Kinsta, AWS and plain cPanel. If the hosting is genuinely the problem we will show you the evidence rather than simply recommending a move.

Administrator on the site, read access to hosting and DNS, and a repository invitation if there is one. Individual accounts per person, never a shared login, so the audit log means something.

Three months, because month one is stabilisation and judging the service on it would be unfair to both sides. After that it is monthly. If you want to leave, you take the documentation, the backups and the access, and we will brief whoever is next.
