Key details

We redesigned Chicago Real Estate Photography's website and built it in WordPress and Elementor, with the studio's own films in the heroes and a page for each featured listing. It went live on their domain on 12 October 2026, and an SEO pass and a spam filter on the enquiry form followed that week.

Overview

Chicago Real Estate Photography shoots listings for agents and brokerages across Chicago and the suburbs: photography, video, drone, floor plans, Zillow 3D tours, property websites and social media reels, in one visit. Its own crew shoots every listing and its own team edits it. In Carol Stream it runs a content studio where agents film videos with a teleprompter and a videographer directing. Its Content Partner Program plans, films and edits a month of reels for them.

This page covers the old site, the design and the WordPress build, the launch and the work since.

The challenge

The old site hid the copy that explained the studio, and the new one had to answer an agent's questions on the page.

  • A hidden first screen

The old home page's headline and introduction were set to hidden, so no visitor read them. The studio's own description of itself sat only in code that search engines read.

  • What every shoot includes, in a footnote

The floor plan, sky and TV replacement and the other extras included with every shoot sat in a footnote on the old site.

  • Broken and thin pages

The footer linked to a contact page that did not exist, and a set of near-identical area pages stood in for real coverage.

  • Answers before the call

Agents needed to see the work, what a shoot includes and when the files come back, without phoning the studio first.

  • A library of films

The studio had a library of agent reels and listing films, and the site had to play them without every page downloading them up front.

What we did

  • Designed first, then built in Elementor

We designed the site first, as a working design site the studio could review. Then we built it in native Elementor on WordPress, matched to the design section by section on desktop, tablet and phone.

  • Widgets the studio can edit

Where Elementor has no widget for a section, such as the film walls and reel strips, we built custom widgets with their own controls. Photos, films and text change in the editor, not in code.

  • Reels that play with sound

Reels sit in strips of phones. Tap one and it opens large and plays with sound, and on the home page a phone rises and plays reels as you scroll.

The home page section headed Photos back by noon, a phone playing a listing reel
  • A page for every featured listing

Each featured listing has its own page with the photos, aerials, floor plans and reel the studio delivered, so an agent sees a whole package before booking.

Three featured listing cards on the home page, each opening its own listing page
  • How a shoot works, on the page

What comes with every shoot and the three steps from booking to delivery are on the home page, in a few words each.

The How it works band on the home page: Book online, We shoot it all, Next-day delivery
  • Launched with an SEO pass

Live on its domain since 12 October 2026. Yoast is the one source of titles and descriptions, structured data describes the business and its FAQs, and the old site's URLs redirect. A month of guides for agents followed, one a day.

  • Every enquiry kept, spam set aside

The enquiry form saves each lead in WordPress. A spam filter scores every message, moves spam to its own list where it is never forwarded, and deletes it after 30 days.

Built with

  • WordPress Content management
  • Elementor Page building, native containers and widgets
  • Hello Elementor Theme
  • Xpro Theme Builder Header and footer templates
  • Yoast SEO Titles, descriptions, sitemaps and schema
  • Rich Showcase for Google Reviews Google reviews feed
  • Custom Elementor widgets Film walls, reel strips, listing pages and the spam filter
  • Cloudflare In front of the Hostinger hosting

Why it worked

It works because the site is made of the studio's own work

The listing photos, films and reels on the site all come from the studio's own shoots. The design gives them room, and the copy says plainly what an agent gets.

Its own footage

The hero walls and reel strips play the studio's own listing films and agent reels, and each one loads only when it plays.

Answers on the page

What every shoot includes, how a shoot works and when the files come back sit on the pages agents read first.

Edited in Elementor

Native containers and custom widgets with their own controls let the studio change photos, films and text without code.

Ready for search

Yoast holds every title and description, the old URLs redirect to their new pages, and structured data describes the business and its FAQs.

Questions about this engagement

What clients ask us after reading this case study.

WordPress and Elementor on the Hello Elementor theme, with Xpro templates for the header and footer and Yoast SEO. Custom Elementor widgets draw the film walls, reel strips and listing pages.

Yes. We designed it first as a working design site for the studio to review. Then we built that design in Elementor on WordPress and moved it onto their domain on 12 October 2026.

Each film is encoded as WebM with an MP4 fallback and a poster frame. It loads only when it plays, so a page never downloads every reel up front.

A filter scores every enquiry on signals such as a hidden trap field, how fast the form was filled and known spam phrases. Spam goes to its own list and is deleted after 30 days. A real lead flagged by mistake comes back with one link.

Yes. We start from an audit of what the old site says and carry its facts, prices and terms over. Old URLs redirect to their new pages. See our website redesign service.
